The involvement manifesto

A while back I decided to turn some of the key messages of my book "return on involvement - how to use social web to create business unusual" into a manifesto. A manifesto I would hope people would hang up in their offices to think about the changing business environment we are currently living in. Also I made the manifesto to underline some of the things in my work that I think is really important and that you really have to be aware of.

So here it is... fell free to share it and reproduce it, oh and if it makes a lot of sense to you, I would be SO happy to hear about it if you decided to put it up anywhere in your office..

Ladies and gentlemen, I am very proud to present: a lot of news from Toothless Tiger

The first news is the new design of toothlesstiger.com - made by the incredibly talented Spoiled milk. I have been wanting Toothless Tiger to be redesigned for so long, and finally here it is.

The other thing is th at focus has changed a bit. I will still be consulting from Toothless Tiger, but we are slowly turning our little company into a web freelance agency within presence marketing - where freelancers can use us as a selling, marketing consulting basis.

The last thing I want to introduce is the newest Toothless Tiger: Mark Wubben. Mark is a webhacker by trade, and he has currently moved to Copenhagen from Enschede, the Netherlands, to work.

He has been a friend of Toothless for years and it's a pleasure to have him on board. We actually found out that we where going to work together because we both share an idea of wanting to work with great people.

For more information on Mark you can find him on novemberborn.net or read more about him on Toothless Tiger

my proposal for a changethis.com manifesto has been accepted!

Business.
Just the sound of the word kinda get's to me.
It feels like it's somewhere elderly old barons in suits belongs.
Not me.
I would though, if business was something more than business.
If marketing was something more than using spreading noisy messages to potential clients.
If employees was something companies embraced.
If businesses could change from one day to another.
They can't - because they are businesses.
if you look inside an organisation - how many people do you think are actually working to embrace new ideas - to make their clients happy, to create products that are worth buying ?...
And how many people sit around and actually lives their life being core of the business and the controling factor of the employees ? For business to change we need to create a business environment that is suited for changes. For every person within the company to take a ball and run with it...

Now please help me out and go and vote for it so I can get to write the manifesto...
